One thing that I have learned in my travels is that no matter where you goo there will be history there.  Either something that is old and slowly fading into the past or something new that will be making history for future generations.

This Borroum’s Drug Store.  It is the oldest drug store in Mississippi that is still in operation. It was established in 1865 and has some old artifacts inside from the Civil War.  Even better than the historical side of this place it till has a real soda jerk on the premises.  And before you ask, “Yes, sodas from a real soda fountain taste WAAAYYY better.”  So if you are ever in Corinth, MS stop by and have a soda from this place, enjoy the history and the atmosphere.

Now this is a place that I unfortunately did not get to go into because they were closed for New Year’s, but the outside of their place is about as eclectic as they come.  It is called Abe’s grill, and from what I have been told they have great BBQ at this place.  I was hoping to try some but struck out.  On this image I went for more or and artistic approach.  The day was really overcast and all was a lovely shade of gray in the image.  So I figured I would have some fun with some of the filters in Color Efex 3.0 and combine them with Silver Efex to see what I could come up with.  This being the end result.

Both images captured with 1D Mark IIN 17-40f4 on Lexar Digital Film
