So Yeah it has been a long while since I update the main blog here. And yes, it has been crazy with new projects and toys to play with so the neglect had gone on longer than I expected it to. But when it is all said an done there will always be an image and a story to tell behind it.
This photo has a interesting story behind it. But can you tell me the story just by looking at the photo? Drop a line in the comments and let us see how this story unfolds.
There’s a New Project in Town
Today is a day that stands in our hearts and minds as a day to remember the fallen of past wars and for those out there fighting wars right now. I couldn’t find a photo today that truly represented how I felt about this day so I decided to do this instead:
STANDING ON THE EDGE
For those who stand on the edge between darkness and light
Your bravery stood fast and lasted the test of time to fight for what’s right
You were the ones who drew the line in the sand
Telling the darkness you will not harm this great land.
Your actions have allowed freedom to ring true
All things are possible by the things that you do
So today is a day that is for you; the brave men and women who fight, who’ve fought, who’ve fallen to protect our home.
May the light stand between you and the darkness keep you safe and guide you wherever you may roam.
The Land of Enchanted Rock

Yep, you guessed it. It is a BIG rock in the middle of Texas. This place was a great stop on the TLS a lot of different scenes all in one place. The rock formations themselves are wild. Layer upon layer of rock just bulged up out of the ground and has slowly been eroding back down to earth over the past couple 100K years or so. To me it looked like I was standing on a pair of Volcanic Cores, but I was schooled in the ways of Texas geography and am better for it now (Thanks Jeff!!)

So I have been out of touch for a bit, but finally I am back up in running after additional technical issues. So below are some shots from Pedernales Falls from my trip out to Texas to hang out with Jeff. I honestly can say I wish I could get back there sooner than later.

Found this amazing tree with the water flowing by just made for a great surreal image. The wind was blowing fairly good which made the leaves take on a life of their own.

Great!!! Sunset with the light reflecting on the water made it just glow orange.

Last one was from up high before we went down to the water. The light was wild and made for an interesting HDR.
