About Josh

- What can I say except I am a guy who likes to take photos. I have loved photography ever since I was a kid, and always wanted to strive to learn more and become my own photographer. During my college years I fell out of photography for a while and was worse off for it. But shortly after I graduated for the 1st time with a degree in Biology I renewed my love of this amazing art. The love of photography and wildlife lead me to find my mentor and friend Moose Peterson. I first met Moose during a private tutoring session, and I was hooked from that point on. I became his assistant and for 2 years had the pleasure of working at DLWS where I got to meet and work with the greatest bunch a friends and photographers that I have had the pleasure of knowing (Moose, Joe McNally, Laurie Excell, Kevin Dobler, and Brad Moore) . Later on Moose and I co-taught at Wildlife Photographer’s Basecamp teaching folks the fine art of wildlife photography.
- In 2008 I published a book on post processing using Nik Software entitled:
- The Official Nik Software Image Enhancement Guide: The Photographer’s Resource for Professional Workflow Techniques
- I have had the immense honor to have photos published in Joe McNally’s Book “The Moment it Clicks” as well as Scott Kelby’s “The Digital Photography Book, Vol. 3″
- For the longest time I was a Canon shooter but now have switched systems to Nikon.
