About Josh

What can I say except I am a guy who likes to take photos.  I have loved photography ever since I was a kid, and always wanted to strive to learn more and become my own photographer.  During my college years I fell out of photography for a while and was worse off for it.  But shortly after I graduated for the 1st time with a degree in Biology I renewed my love of this amazing art.  The love of photography and wildlife lead me to find my mentor and friend Moose Peterson.  I first met Moose during a private tutoring session, and I was hooked from that point on.  I became his assistant and for 2 years had the pleasure of working at DLWS where I got to meet and work with the greatest bunch a friends and photographers that I have had the pleasure of knowing (Moose, Joe McNally, Laurie Excell, Kevin Dobler, and Brad Moore) .  Later on Moose and I co-taught at Wildlife Photographer’s Basecamp teaching folks the fine art of wildlife photography.
In 2008 I published a book on post processing using Nik Software entitled:
The Official Nik Software Image Enhancement Guide: The Photographer’s Resource for Professional Workflow Techniques
I have had the immense honor to have photos published in Joe McNally’s Book “The Moment it Clicks” as well as Scott Kelby’s “The Digital Photography Book, Vol. 3″
For the longest time I was a Canon shooter but now have switched systems to Nikon.
