Howdy,  hopefully this finds you recovering from a great Thanksgiving holiday.  I know I ate so much turkey I think Tryptophan is now permanently embedded in my DNA.  However, fighting through the turkey induce dazed I managed to go get a bit of shooting in, and had a good time.  I decided to give myself a 2 day project.  This is the some of the results from the first day.  I wanted to photograph only abandoned things (Buildings, Cars, etc…)  The first day didn’t yield to much, but scoping out some other sites I think my 2nd day may be more productive.

The two building above sat across the street from each other.  The lower one had a fire that burned through it not too long ago.  The other with the old Pharmacy sign was being re-purposed into a restaurant, but was still not open for business.

This old 1 room house sat near the edge of a major highway.  I have no idea how long it had been there, but time had just forgotten it.

  1. Cool shots Josh, especially the second image.

  2. I second Jeff’s comment. My favorite is def #2. I think it speaks loudly of Joe Mcnally’s comment of a former editor saying if you want to make an interesting image only light part of it (paraphrasing.) All the best.
